This was the first full day of our trip and we were fising about 5 or 6 feet of water in Rat Bay. It was about 85 degrees and we'd been out most of the day.
All of a sudden this one broke water as the lure hit and Quintin was in for a fight. Bowfin's sure aren't a handsome fish but they are strong and like to run. It took 10 minutes or so, be we got it aboard, took some pictures and back in the water for another day. The best thing about a Mepps is they catch everything so why bother switching.
