The ice on Kuester's lake melted just a few weeks ago and I had been excited to break out the spinning rod and take a boat ride with dad. We passed by the rock pile against the wall on the east side of the lake and I casted my spinner toward the wall. I let the lure run deep and slow when I felt a strong heavy strike. I wasn't sure it was even a fish or a snag! When the Largemouth appeared just below the surface and ran deep I dipped the pole tip deep in the water to keep from breaking the line. I battled the fish back to the side of the boat and dad helped me land him!
