The largemouth around here tend to start biting real good about the middle of October around 5 or 530 in the afternoon. They like to come up in the shallow area of our lake and swirl around the bottom and work up to food. I saw a huge swirl about 20 feet from shore. So I casted over the swirl about 5 feet and started reeling in. I got within 12 feet of shore and the fish hit hard. This is definetly one of the biggest fish of my life but I threw it back, I know there are bigger ones out in this lake!
