Went out to look for some leftover steelhead today. It's now May, they should of been long gone by now. Still was able to find a few spawning. I mostly fished the holes today looking for spawned out drop backs. I fished in a deep hole with fast water. I was casting the spinner downstream letting it swing. The fish hit after I took a few casts. Just about took my rod out of my hands. The fish also messed up my gears on the reel when it hit. Now I need to get a new reel. But it was well worth it to land this hen in May on a Mepps spinner!
