It was opening day at Bonito Lake in Ruidoso, NM. The lake remains closed DEC - MAR every year and opens APR 1st - Nov 30th. The bag limit on Rainbow Trout at this lake is 4 and I was determined to get my limit. I tried throwing every thing from fire balls to flies and had not hits. I then pulled out my lure box and decided on my 1/6 oz. Mepps Aglia Plain with a size 2 hot pink blade, and a plain treble hook. From then on it was one after the other, and I had my limit in approximately 1 hour!
