50-60 yds off shore casting toward the shore and reeling at a moderate pace I thought at first I snagged a stump until I saw the fish break the surface. Kept the pressure on him and didn't let him bottom on me. Once I got him to the boat I walked him up and down the port to wear him down then netted him, 9 ponunds 8 ounces.
