I saw some big coho's jumping around behind a log jam. I took a cast and wham this fish hit hard. I got this big guy casting across the pool. The fish put up a great fight. He almost took me into the logs but I got him in. I weighed him at 11.6 lbs. and then I let him go. A beautiful fish like this deserves to be able to live out the rest of his short life and spawn. This is the biggest Coho I've caught in a few years. We usually don't get big ones around here. But this year I've been seeing big ones all over. The average has been 6 lbs. Last year it was only 2 lbs. Stay tuned for more big ones this season!
