My father and I own a house on Lake Winnipesaukee in Laconia, New Hamphsire. Every weekend we fish Paugus Bay just before dark or early in the morning during the summer. In the middle of the bay there is an island with sandy, rocky bottoms around it about 20 feet of water. On a hot summer night this spot is great for catching smallmouth bass. Using my favorite lure, Mepps #3 Aglia - gold , we always catch something good. On a good night we can catch between 4-7 smallmouth bass weighing anywhere from 3lbs to 5lbs. The Mepps never fail for us, they are the best. The smallmouth bass give us a great fight we can catch them still fishing or trolling. Fishing is always better when we use a Mepps.
