Woke up early and saw it raining lightly outside. Decided to go fishing in the stream that runs behind my house. Went down stream about 1/4 mile from my home and fished up to my property using small Mepps lures due to the stream being very shallow.(#00 & #0 Aglia gold). Reached a good spot that always produces a nice brown or two. Tied on a Mepps # 1 copper, plain treble (cut the red plastic off) and took a couple of casts. Threw the third cast out up the stream about 30 feet into 2 - 2 1/2 foot of water and reeled it in nice and slow. Seen my lure on the retreive and noticed a large fish swimming behind it.(put me mind of a shark) Noticed my lure disappear and the fish stop. I pulled my rod back and hooked onto this monster. Loosened my drag and fought with it for a while and walked it down stream to a shallow area so I could get it a shore with out losing it. Got it in my hands and the rest is history........
