I saw this fish spawning with 2 bucks. These fish were in between a small tree in the water. I had to get in the cold water and walk up close to the log to be able to have any chance at getting a good presentation to the fish. I took a cast in front of the log and the 2 bucks took off right away spooked. The hen was the only fish left. So I took a cast in between the log and the shore line. I only had about 6 foot of room to get my spinner in. I ran the spinner off her nose and she followed my spinner and hit my spinner before it was about to run into the log. I set the hook and got her in without her getting away. She was barely hooked in the lower jaw with one hook. Glad I was able to land her, get a photo and let her go. Was very fun watching her hit my Mepps. Can't beleieve we are still getting coho's in ok numbers in these rivers still spawning in Jan. Hope to get a few more this weekend before they are all gone!
