The fish were out deep and boats weren't allowed. I was fishing off a black lava-sand beach and found there was a drop-off...if I casted far enough. I snapped on the Mepps LongCast and let her sail. I took a 12-count for the spinner to hit the bottom. I caught 3 fish out in the deep, while the other fishermen without the LongCast option didn't catch any. Can't find Mepps for sale anywhere in Iceland!
