Fishing was really slow on the big lake. We decided to hike into the woods to an inland lake. It took us two days before we could find the "trail" to the inland lake. It was rough walking - up, over, under trees and debris. Finally we reached the lake. We had been catching several nice sized Smallmouth Bass when this one hit. It didn't fight very hard, but when the fish took line, we knew we had a big one. When it shook and came out of the water we got our first glimpse and I did everything possible to get it in the boat. The net wasn't big enough!
