I have been trying to get a Master Angler badge ever since my dad started getting his. I came close a few times, but didn't quite make it. I was up early with my step-mom on our last day at camp over Labor Day weekend. It was really cloudy and she said it was good fishing weather. I went to the dock with my new lure from Cabela's. Within ten casts the bass hit and was pulling my drag hard. He went into the weeds, but I got him out. I yelled for my step-mom to get the net, the camera and the Boga Grip. She ran down to help. Sure enough, it was 3.0 lbs, and I finally had my first badge. It was so exciting. I can't wait to get my next badge.
