I was fishing a small area with a log going across the river and a bunch of piled up leaves covering the log making a hiding place for fish to sit. I took a cast in it and saw a coho come out and try to hit. I never hooked the fish and kept trying but no luck. So my friend and I was curious how many fish were under it. So we moved the log and the leaves floated downstream and we spooked a steelhead but it came back and sat where it was sitting when the leaves were there. I took a cast and was holding the spinner in the current about 3 foot in front of it. This fish went nuts and came up and nailed my Mepps fast. Was awesome moving out a log and leaves and still be able to catch a fish even after spooking it!
