I saw this fish spawning with a hen and another buck. I caught the hen on my fly rod. After I released the hen I came back and the 2 bucks were still there. The bigger buck was under a small branch. I hung my spinner just in front of the branch holding the spinner in the current. This big buck came out and nailed my Mepps! As soon as I set the hook this fish exploded downstream. I had to put my rod under the branch and chase it far downstream. Finally after a little bit I landed this big guy. Awesome catch thanks to Mepps!
