Warm and slightly overcast day so I decided to go and fish the Fastwater above the Union Bridge that crosses over the Mersey River. The river was medium height and running clear, so it was on with a March Brown Thunder Bug spinner and off into the river I went. After around 10 minutes of spinning up & across the river I hooked into a lovely solid Rainbow Trout and a nice fish it was at that.
