I've been fishing on this small lake for at least five years trying to catch a Northern Pike. I have heard many stories of big pike in the lake, so I tried to catch one of any size but with no luck. I was in a kayak pike fishing when I decided to put a Mepps Syclops on. On my third or fourth cast, I got something on my line. He must have loved that lure, because he was pulling me across the bay I was fishing! My dad had to paddle just to keep up with me. Finally, we got him landed and went back to show him off.
Thanks Mepps for my first pike and the fun experience. I'm sure there will always be at least one Syclops in my tackle box.
