My Story

HANK THE TANK
Two lovebird's headed into Algonquin Park for a little weekend fishin trip. Arrived at Radiant Lake (thats Native's only, but don't worry we got our status cards) and loaded up the boat. Water was lower than normal but it was a beauty day out so I got out and pulled the boat till the water was high enough. Set up camp real quick for the night so we could head down to the honey hole and start fishin! Set the anchor, turned on the country tunes and threw our first casts. Caught a few little pickerel right of the bat to get things rolling. Once them stars started shining and it started getting dark was when the real fun began. I threw out a cast and start reeling in right away, thought I felt a nibble so I yanked 'er real good to set the hook. My boyfriend yells fish on!? I go, oooh yaa!! My hearts just a beating now and i'm reeling in pretty fast and thats when my rod takes a nice bend. I sit back down, thinking i'm caught on bottom and let go off the reel. Two seconds later my line shoots back out and now I know I got a big old lunker on my lure!!! I start reeling back in and once the fish was almost at the boat we shine the flashlight on the water and we see a huge white belly! I stop reeling and we get it in the net, drop it in the boat and start yelling! This fish, Hank the Tank, was flopping in the boat so hard I jumped back so far I almost fell out! Once we calmed down a little I was finally able to pick it up. Man, my arm was tired after holding it up for some pictures but it was worth it! Best night ever! Nothing better than a big ol' catch under the stars! Can't wait for next summer :)
