The story is I gave up salmon fishing altogether until I met a friend. I told Matt "screw salmon fishing, I don't care if I ever do it again. You can't catch anything." Matt told me "no, Vic, I can't hear this, you're going fishing in the morning with me." I was skeptical, but, I met him on the Yakima River at 6:30 AM with my brother-in-law, Daniel. After about an hour or so when he gets back, he tells me, don't you know Mike? I said yeah I worked with him for 12 years, he just caught that fish. I had lost all of my gear for bobber fishing, so Matt looked at me and said here's my rod and the Flying C, go cast at that rock. Well the rest is history, sixteen days later, 19 fish, I'm hooked.
