So, a good friend showed me one of his favorite fishing spots that not too many people know about. On the first day of Trout season in NY, I caught a 2&1/2 lb. Smallmouth Bass within ten minutes of arriving. Had to release him because they are not in season on April 1st in NY. 15 minutes later I caught a 30" Brown Trout and 20 minutes after that I landed a 29 " Rainbow Trout. All caught on the same MEPPS lure a #3 Black fury red dot dressed. In my opinion, you can buy cheaper lures on the market, but your not gonna catch the fish you can catch with MEPPS!
