With the Mersey River running high after quite a lot of rain I had to fish a back water section of the river. I flicked the little Mepps Black Fury into the top end of it and it was taken straight away by this nice plump brown trout that went 38 cms in length. This was the first of six solid browns caught in a two hour session.
