We've been fishing Lake Matinenda since 1985. We were fishing the same spot we usually fish. We were fishing for smallmouth bass and I cast out next to a downed tree, and, this walleye hit my line. I had never seen a walleye before and didn't really know what I had caught. Walleye are very rarely caught on this lake and nobody believed I caught one. Within the next week we caught two more walleye, so, they definitely are in the lake now!
