We were fishing with Capt. Mike Venezia out of Bud "n" Mary's in Islamorada, FL. I brought some Mepps with me to try for some badges. He was skeptical and had never heard of Mepps before, but he tied them on. Not long after we started fishing my rod got rocked, and after a lengthy fight he got this 24" 5 lb Spanish Mackerel in the net. He was as excited as we were. We caught jacks, pompano and other fish on this lure and on the various Syclops I brought with us. He couldn't believe how well they worked. I left all the Mepps with him, so he may soon be a convert.
