My husband brought some of our bass/pike Mepps with us on vacation in the Florida Keys. I caught this 17" 3.0 lb Pompano on a light tackle spinning rod. The hits on the Aglia and the Syclops were ferocious. Our guide thought the Mepps would work because the fish had never seen them before, and neither had he. We caught many species with the lures and had a blast. We left the lures with our guide so that he could have fun with them with other clients.
