I was fishing the headwaters of the lake around 6:30 p.m. The skies were getting cloudy and I was losing light so I thought I'd try a bright color. I've had some nice fish action on the chartreuse color before during cloudy skies. I was cranking the bucktail in at a moderate speed when the fish hit about 10 feet in front of the boat. The war was on. The fish thrashed mightily but I had a great hook set in the corner of the fishes mouth. I fought her for maybe 2 minutes before I finally netted her.
