Elliott reeled in this husky brown trout with his dad and sister on their first fishing trip of the season. Spring has been slow to arrive to northeast Wyoming this year as you can see by the piles of snow, and this trout wasn't moving too fast, but put up a pretty good fight once he was hooked! Elliott and his sister Adriana love to fish and are excited to get out as much as they can this year! Their dad has been using Mepps lures since he was about Elliott's age, and although the kids often want to try a colorful marshmallow or some other ridiculous bait, dad most often ties on a Mepps for them when it is time to actually try to catch something!
