On the last day of our Alaskan vacation, we were just making our way back to Anchorage to catch a flight. We stopped at a Simms Fly Shop and mentioned that we had wanted to catch the Pink Salmon run so badly this year, but the trip was just a tad early. The Fly Shop guide mentioned that he heard some pinks were coming in thick near Hope, AK. We had a few hours to give this last try a shot and it panned out. The Pinks came in thick, aggressive, and they loved the Mepps Aglia!
