Was going out for first day of spring gobbler, so my 2 buddies and I headed up Friday after work and we got up with enough time to hit the stream before dark. It was a rainy day all day but around 5 pm the rain stopped and was just overcast. Water flow was faster then normal and water was high. Caught a few fish then threw into a slower body of water right between two sets of rapids. The spinner hit the water reeled in about 2' and BAM fish came up and took it, and started running down stream in the fast moving water. Had to run down the stream with it so it didn't snap my line or get off. All of my buddies are yelling from different parts of the stream. "Better get that monster to the shore !!!" Finally after about what felt for like forever, really only about 2 min, finally got the fish onto the bank and got to see truly how big and nice of a fish I caught!!
