I was home at the lake house to support my mom and to manage the estate after my father's passing. My brother and I went out just like we always did with my dad in the early morning to fish for bass before breakfast. There had been an insect hatch on the lake the night before and the birds were working the surface. Once the sun had risen over the ridge and began to penetrate the water’s surface my line was hit. I set the hook and reeled the fish in slowly, all the time thinking it was a small catfish because it was fighting so hard. Once it came to the surface, I was surprised to see it was a beautiful white bass. My dad would have been proud! Rest In Peace Dad. Charles Branham
