I was on an eight day Middle Fork Salmon river trip, of which I've floated 50 times. I was rowing my raft so I was using my spin outfit instead of a fly rod. I let the spinner sink for a few seconds so it would go deep. The Bull Trout came up after it and hit it really hard. My drag was set lighter because I had been catching 10-14 inch Cutthroat Trout. The Bull trout took quite a bit of line before I could tighten the drag and I landed it while my youngest son rowed the raft to shore. We took a quick photo, you can see the bottom of the Aglia lure in my hand. I released the fish and it sped away.
