My wife and I were out for the first time of the year on May 9th. We had only been out for 15 or 20 minutes when this pretty girl showed up. We were both throwing Mepps #5 black/white, our favorite lure, which has caught too many fish to count, including many nice muskies. She swam away strong and we hope to see her again soon. As a side note, the Mepps #5 lure I was fishing was reconditioned with a new treble hook with gray squirrel tail, one of 40 I bought from Mepps since the lures get hit so often the squirrel tails take a beating. Mepps #5 black & white, our go to lures always.
