Not much was biting that day. Drifting along just casting to see if anything would bite. Was certainly not fishing for musky.
This guy hit the lure hard. Took about 15 minutes to get him in the net. He made several runs under the boat and out away from the boat. Glad my daughter was with me to help net him.
Once I got him in the net, noticed that he was only hooked with one hook (which he proceeded to shake out in the net).
Biggest fish of my life. 48". Landed with 14 lb test and an ultra light ugly stick pole. #5 Mepps Aglia Red Platium. My lure of choice for northern.
