I am a undergraduate biology student at the university of Mount Union, so when I am not studying fish, I am fishing for them. Leading up to this particular catch I had just taken all of my normal baitcasting bass equipment home for an upcoming trip. I had a small crappie rod in my dorm and picked up some Mepps spinners from my local tackle store because I had not tried inline spinners in a while. Lo and behold after about five minutes of fishing, a large bass slammed the spinner! It was tricky wrestling the fish in on light tackle, but eventually it was landed and measured at 19.5 inches.
