Serious fishermen who spend a lot of time on the water will truly appreciate the Mepps Double Blade Aglia. It's perfect for smallmouth and largemouth bass, trophy northern pike and early-season musky.
Why two blades?
Dual blades create additional flash. This, in turn
increases the intensity of the blade colors as they spin, whether
the blades are the same color or contrasting colors. In addition, the
sound and vibration they make is noticeably different than a spinner
with a single blade. Two blades also produce more loft so they are
easier to fish over weeds and other structure.
Vibrant blades.
Gold blades are polished
brass. Copper blades are copper plated, while silver blades are plated
with genuine silver so they produce a bright white flash that's easily
seen underwater. Platium blades are coated with a tough acrylic finish
for added durability. Other painted blades feature a rugged vinyl finish.
Durable construction.
Solid brass bodies, a durable stainless steel shaft, a pair of rugged
folded solid brass clevises, and a bronze plated extra sharp carbon
steel hooks means this lure will hold up under the toughest fishing
conditions.
Hand-tied tails.
All tails are hand-tied with genuine bucktail and dyed
in brilliant fish-attracting colors.
Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
I bought this lure in the firetiger color from Dicks Sporting Goods. The very first cast and I caught a nice sized bass for the water I was fishing. I caught many more fish with this lure. This is a top notch, must have for the tackle box lure.Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, White - Catfish, Channel - Pike, Northern
I'm just honestly thankful these products exist. Just had one of my best days ever trying out new Double Bladed Mepps spoon/spinner, absolutely killed the largemouth. Caught some pike, small mouth and a totally unintentional channel catfish. Just turned my buddy onto these too, he wasn't having any bites and after I reeled 3 in he walked over and went through my bag for one and started landing them. Made for some awesome photos and an awesome day. Can't say enough good things about Mepps products without sounding like I'm getting paid to write this. When the fishing gets tough, I'll always carry a Mepps spoon/spinner and slap it on and can almost guarantee something. Mepps Aglia 5 treble hook single/double blades will get just about anythings attention and get you on some fish. Great lures.Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Carp - Crappie (Black)
I just bought this lure a week ago, out fishing twice and have caught 4 different species. Great lure!Fish Caught: Pike, Northern - Trout, Lake - Walleye
In Canada with a Mepps #5 and a #5 double blade, I can control a bigger section of the water column. The Double blade is great for deeper weeds. Often, big fish feed at the edge of the weed bed on fish that are getting blown in by the wind. They are going to take the prime spot. Look for a channel that comes out, or a shallow finger that extends out a bit. With the #5 double blade and a Mister Twister tail, I can get down there and show just a little more than the plain #5. It has a little different feel, so it takes some getting used to. The double blade offers quite a bit less resistance to the water, which is what gets it down. As an added bonus, being deeper I was able to pick up Lake Trout and Walleye as well.Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Musky - Pickerel
Awesome lure! Has caught a variety of fish and always attracts the large fish!Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Bass, Striped - Pike, Northern - Trout, Brook - Trout, Brown - Trout, Lake - Trout, Rainbow - Walleye
This is possibly the greatest fishing lure ever devised, it can be fished deep, shallow, fast or, slow. I caught my personal best bass, my personal best pike, and my personal best trout on this lure. I have never had a better lure than this, the next time that I see this lure I will buy 10. Thank you, Mepps!Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth - Bass, Smallmouth - Pike, Northern
My fishing partner Steve and I tried over ten other lures to catch pike we knew were in his lake. Once we found the Mepps Double Bladed Aglia black spoon with gold skirt we finally started catching instead of just fishing. Both of us have caught over 5 pike over 30 inches and I caught a 40 inch monster that I'm very proud of. The Mepps Double Blade by far has outperformed the rest of the lures on the market designed to catch these stealthy monsters. Our lake is small but the pike are huge if you can get em to bite and this bait has shown us both how me pis stands alone in a dependable lure. The pike we don't get to hit follow this lure all the way to the boat on many occasions. That in itself makes fishing exciting and interesting.Fish Caught: Bass, Largemouth
My #5 double blade in hot orange/black has been my go to lure in murky waters. The action seems to attract more hits than any other lure I own. I fished this one lure hard in a spatterdock ridden area, many times having to go swimming to retrieve it. Normally I would have just cut the line and called it a day, but I could not part with it. In fact, I normally would be fishing weedless in spaterdock but the double blade results was worth the headache of snagging. Highly recommended for Pickerel and Bass (small & large)Write a product testimonial and share your fishing experiences with other customers.
